Help with Konqueror ?

Hi Forum
Newbie here. Hope I'm posting in right place.
Have KDE 3.5.8 running on a few different hosts. Mostly excellent.
On one host, when doing a file copy using konqueror, a "Copy File Progress" window emerges and gives usual info.
On another host, when doing similar file copy, there is no progress window whatsoever. Therefore no way to monitor progress, or cancel if needed.
Any clues for how to change some konqueror config setting to make this work as expected ?
