Scan for networks doesn't show complete list

Hi all,

we have a home network which operates via 2 access points. When I scan for networks, I am only shown one of them, whereas other computer in the network can see and thus access the other one as well.

The problem now is that the access point I'm accessing is a bit of trouble and probably will be exlcuded from the network.

I'm running KDE 3.4 on a SUSE 10.0 machine and use KInternet as my network manager.

Are there any settings I need to change / add to get the second a/p to appear?

I'd appreciate any help.

Have you enabled mac filtering on your access point? If so, have you added the mac address for your new computer on the second a/p? You will probably get a better answer, but that is the first thing that comes to mind.

Nope, mac filtering is off. One of the other computers that is able to see the second a/p is pretty new and when it was first set up, the scan did show both a/ps.
