Problem during ./configure

Hi,
i'm new user of KDE, i wanto to try to develop something with kdevelop, i download the package "kdevelop-3.2.0", when i lanuch the command "./configure --enable-debug=full --prefix=/usr/local/kde --with-qt-dir=/opt/qt3 --x-includes=/usr/X11R6/include/X11 --x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib" i obtain the message:
"checking for pthread_create in -lpthread... yes
checking for extra includes... no
checking for extra libs... no
checking for libz... configure: error: not found.
Possibly configure picks up an outdated version
installed by XFree86. Remove it from your system.

Check your installation and look into config.log"
I see the config.log file but i don't understand nothing, i've
"lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 apr 8 11:17 /lib/libz.so.1 -> libz.so.1.2.1.1*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 65348 ago 27 2004 /lib/libz.so.1.2.1.1*"
on the directory /lib and on the directory /usr/lib
Wher's the problem???
Thank's.

RE: Problem during ./configure

You might want to try a pre-compiled version of Kdevelop from your distribution first.
