dwnload and install Koffice 1.4

Using Koffice 1.3 on Mandrake 10.0. Is it possible to upgrade to 1.4 or better to start fresh?

I like the looknfeel of Koffice, but there are several glaring bugs. Have these been fixed in 1.4? (like no printing in Kspread until you reset print area)

Can someone direct me to a tutorial that is very thorough in explaining safe removal of koffice 1.3 and then download and install of Koffice 1.4. Many times there are several .tgz files but no explainations as to which one to use and why. Have used RPMdrake to add packages from default cds but never installed from a dwnload.

Any help?
Thanks

RE: dwnload and install Koffice 1.4

I would use rpm drake if i was you
Its not good to mix source and rpms in my experience
I used to use urpmi from a command line to get new stuff
like urpmi koffice
Do you have a good internet connection??

also I would post this on mandrake forums or join
freenode irc server and join a mandrake room and as there

I use gentoo so I just type emerge sync (updated database)
emerge koffice and im away!!!!

im running the koffice 1.5 beta its wicked!!!

kexi and kplate are new additions!!!!!!!!!
