relative desktop position

I was wondering if there is a tool or a simple way to allow the user to change the relative position of desktops in KDE

I'll explain:

if you activate the option to switch desktop when moving the mouse to the edge of the desktop, and when running the virtual desktops applet in the taskbar, desktop positions are as follow (example for 6 desktops):

1 2 3 1 2 ...
4 5 6 4 5 ...
1 2 3 1 2 ...

and so on.

if you remove the applet and restart kde, desktop are placed like this

1 3 5 1 3 ...
2 4 6 2 4 ...
1 3 5 1 3 ...

Ideally, I would like to be able to change the positions, as if the desktop were on a cube for example, like this:

hmm.. crap drawing

the idea would be, for each desktop side (or half-side maybe?), to specify which desktop would be used as a target when moving the mouse out.
