ark & passwords

Hello,

I tried unpacking some files with Ark that were protected by passwords. But Ark doesn't ask for a password, tries to extract the files and after some time, it says, that there was an error extracting the file.

When I take the same files and extract them via command line, I can enter a password and extracting works fine. That's ok, but I'd prefer using Ark for extracting.

Is there some setting in Ark that makes Ark ask for passwords or is there any patch or workaround?

I have KDE 3.3.1, Ark 2.4.0, the files were rar and zip files, I could extract the rar files with e.g. unrar x -p filename.
