what happened to Save Window Settings????

the new way in kde 3.3 doesnt make any sense and the old way was so much easier. if i choose Advanced --> Special Window Settings, which one do i choose, Use window class (whole application) or Use whole window class (specific window) to make an app like Firefox open maximized every time but pop-up dialog boxes in the app to open normally.

also other apps i dont need to change anything, like thunderbird i can open it, maximize it, close it and when i open it again, it is maximized. i cant do this with firefox or konqueror

cant seem to find any docs on this from kde as to how to get this to work or why they even changed it. this is the same on debian and fedora core 3 as i am sure it is the same on any distro.

any help much appreciated
