Verdana (font) not rendered in KPDF

Hi,

I have a strange problem - the Verdana font, though installed on my system is not getting rendered in KPDF (and gv) but is being rendered perfectly in Acrobat Reader.

This could be a problem with other fonts as well, though I haven't checked.

What could be the problem?
