Konstruct, KDE 3.3.1, and faulty screensaver login

I have noticed that when using Konstruct to install KDE 3.3.1 on my Slackwaren 10 and Libranet/Debian 2.8.1 installations, I can't get past the screensaver by entering my user name and password. However, using Konstruct to install KDE 3.3.1 on my Gentoo installation yields no problems at all with the screensaver login dialogue.
