Klipper Problems

Hi!

I use KDE for my daily work and I really like it! The only weak point it seems to have is IMHO klipper. I use KDE 3.2 and found this problems using klipper:

I. Doubleclick on a word in Konqueror (or some other apps) and press Ctrl+C: The Text is not in the Clipboard. If you select the same text with the keyboard or with a mouse move, it works!

II. 1. Select Text in App A and copy it to cle Clipboard. 2. Switch to App B and again, copy some text. 3. Switch to App 3 and paste. Klipper pastes text from App A, not App B as expected!! As a result, I always have to use Alt+Ctrl+V to see if the correct entry is selectd in klipper.

Cheers, Mel

Hmm, works in KDE3.1 with both methods of pasting (MMB click and CTRL+V)

Hmm, works as well.
Maybe thats a regression in 3.2?

Just to make sure I do the same thing:
Select text in app A using keyboard
CTRL+C to copy
same in app B
Paste in App C using CTRL+C

Klipper behaviour can be configured

Hello,

the behaviour of klipper can be configured. There's a radio button "Keep content of clipboard and selection separate" or something like that. Try changing this to the other option.

This may help you with problem 1.) (which doesn't occur here on KDE 3.3beta2)
