Konqueror improve:

- ability to script automatic delayed refresh (to test webpage edits)

- ability to set default view to `detailed` rather than icon view; to test: view a
directory of webpages .htm's, click one and then click up

- probably a kde init thing but if you mount a cd, view it with konq, close konq
and try to umount to cd it fails because kdeinit sometimes keeps a process open
on /mnt/cdrom. you then have to kill kdeinit manually.

Do you mean a periodic refresh?
That's already possible:
In the Extras menu there's an entry "Refresh automatically"
with entries "None", "every 15 seconds", "every 30 seconds"
and so on...

Probably your KDE was configured to use FAM to watch for file changes and FAM is known to keep the directory it watches open, which prevents proper unmounting.

i have the same problem. restarting fam with /etc/init.d/fam restart (on debian) helps. but not always. it doesn't help with digital camera.
