He's talking about the feature in Firefox/Mozilla where you double-click the tab bar and a new tab opens. It's a little redundant since you can simply single-click the new tab button on the tool bar instead. But maybe it's a preference issue.

Ya, that is a bit redundant. Firefox has it since the new tab button isn't on the tab bar and isn't even on a toolbar by default.

What Konq does need is to open in a new tab from middle-clicks of items in the bookmarks toolbar. Would also be good on the konq-rellinks bar too.

Hmm, I think this would require some changes quite deep in the libraries, most likely in Qt.

But I will keep your idea in mind until I have time to work on konq-rellinks again.

I have not mentioned only the new tabs to be openning, also it is closing tabs when double-clicking like being myie2 web browser. In my opinion, it is not redundant. It is very easy for my and friends' works on the browser.
Best regards.
