Konq fixed tabsize and other amenities!

Hello!,
I'm using both konqueror and galeon for web surfing, sometimes the one and sometimes the other.
Generally I use Konqueror because it is more _responsive_ and starts _faster_ on my pc (a PII-400 MHz with 500 MB RAM).
The only thing that prevents me to delete the evil Gnome
to let the small-green-lizart to rule the world is a couple of wanted feature that Konqueror miss:

1) Fixed tab size! It is quite annoying to load a new page in a tab placed in the middle and see everithing moving when the title changes!

2) User configurable behaviour of close button on tabs! I love KDE because it is MORE MORE MORE MORE configurable than the Gnome, but I do not know why the user could only chose from having the close button forever displayed (instead of favicon), or let it _slowly_ appare when hovered by mouse. I would like to configure that more freely... it is KDE, not GNOME!!

3) Keyboard-mouse-binding for FAST image/link downloading.
With galeon and a small hack on the sourcecode, when I ctrl+left clink on a image, galeon saves the image without any prompt to a pre-configured dir; whin I ctrl+left clink on a link, galeon does the same; whein I ctrl+left clink on a link THAT is an image, galeon saves the link. I've tried to do something with KhotKeys, but I failed, it supports ONLY mouse gestures and NOT simple actions like that.

I know that some of these features have been _already_ discussed, but I would like to reopen the thread to have some help... :).
If somebody has an answer/trick/insult and does not want to spread it on the forum, let mail me at:

Thank you very much,
Pietro.
