Konqueror dont show thumbnails

I use Konquerer as an Filebrowser. When I enter a normal dirctory, I see little thumbnails instead of boring icons. That is very nice and usefull if you a searching a picture.

But when I enter a directory with many pictures in it, there are only a few (from my point of view randomly chosen) pictures presented as thumbnails. Most of the pictures are presented as boring icons.

Is this a bug in konqueror or is there a possibility to switch that behaviour?

I use version 3.1.5 from the sarge-distribution of Debian.

are all of these images different filetypes?

If so, on the "view" drop-menu there is a "preview" option. make sure you have 'images' as well as 'pictures' enabled.

same size?

The pictures have all the same size?

There is an option in koqueror to create only previews under a filesize of X MB. Maybe you have to change this option!
