Konqueror error: can't handle file type

I am unable to access certain directories in Konqueror.
When I click on it, I get a dlg box that says:

There appears to be a configuration error
You have associated Konqueror with inode/directory, but it can't handle this file type.

The problem occurs only if the directory has a file named index.htm. If i rename it (via a bash shell) to index1.htm, the problem goes away. This happens in more than just the original directory where i had the problem. The index.htm file itself appears to be intact as I can display it in the browser.

What is really the problem?

did you try disabling "view->Use index.html" in konqueror ?

ah, that does it, thanks.
i don't suppose that strictly speaking fixes the problem, but rather gets around it, but in this case that's fine. I don't use Konqueror as a browser too much, mostly as a file manager. This is a religious issue, i suppose, but i don't like the mixing of those 2 functionalities.

Yeah that doesn't exactly solve the problem. But the "use index.html" function is disabled in web browser profile. So when you use konqui as a webbrowser it doesn't matter.
