Power goes out and upon reboot, KDE 3.2 looks all weird.
So i upgraded to kde 3.2 and i was impressed. I went on with my daily business when i accidently pulled the power cord of the computer. Ofcourse the computer stops suddenly. I go on to plug the power cord back in and restarted it. Well, when back on the KDE 3.2 desktop, everything looked weird. The icons on the desktop became huge, the fonts in kcontrol were all changed to helvtica instead of what KDE 3.2 had initially installed (Tahoma). And the Menu's all became really big too. What happened here? KDE got all messed up because my power cord came out suddenly? Why is this and how do i reverse it? I tried rebooting again, shutting the computer down for a while then restarting, but nothing helps. Something must've gotten corrupted, i dunno what.

2.6.3 kernel
KDE 3.2 grabbed with apt-get from these repositories:

I don't know much about KDE but try erasing the .kde folder in your home directory. It partially helped when I had problems. By erasing this folder you loose all your custom kde-settings so don't do that if you don't want to re-configure everything.
thx. I did end up doing that at the end. Still, kde shouldn't go all bonkers if the power goes out...
