problem with saving files

I have a problem with saving files to diskettes or to handy drives. For example, when i recieve somthing by mail and want to save it into my handy drive, I can't do it directly. I have to save it to the HD first. Because when I click the handy drive (or diskette) icon, konqueror takes it as a file and not as a folder. I can't open it as a folder and save the file in it. What should I do :?: I hope you understand my pb. Just a detail, I've never used Linux as OS before.

Hmm.

Can you try to use floppy:/a/ in Konqueror and check if it displays the contents of the diskette?
