Panel Missing Extensions and Applications

I had a little problem with the HD which evidently caused some of the system files to become currupt and the blocks marked bad. Once KDE finally booted back up, the Panel only had the KMenu and application buttons. All Extensions (clock, desktops, widgets) are gone. All Applications were gone too.
The options for both are greyed out on the right click menu.

I uninstalled the applications, and reinstalled them. That seemed to work for the applications. I tried that for the Extensions with no luck.

Any idea as to how I can get them back up?

I've had same problem today....all apps in menus, RH and KDE are "gone". Still in file system, but not on KDE menu, for any user. HD crashed. Did you find a good way to restore all links to apps?
