background flashing

hi

using suse 7.3 ppc running kde2

logged in as root and was sorting out the styles and backgrounds etc

when i had a look at 'marble' background the system crashed

now when i go into root desktop it just flashes between the blue background I had and the marble one i was looking at

there are no icons or any key commands i can do

can you tell me how i can get out of this

Hi,
I don't know wat may have cause this problem, but try to rename your .kde profile, logoff and log in again. KDE will create a new default profile without this background.

thanks for that

i had to delete .kde and .kde2 as it would not let me rename them or move them

i think i will leave it alone now
