Way to see new posts in forums

There should be a way to identify that new posts have been put up since the last time that a user has looked through the site just by looking on the main page. Like on kde-look.org how it has the little "updated" and "new" icons next to the posts. That would be great, cause I don't always have time to look through all the forums and don't have the memory to remember all the number of posts.

Hi,

what's your problem? This feature is already active. The little iccon left of the forum name becomes orange when there are new posts.
Of course you have to be logged in to see it.
Bye,
Slarti

The new posts feature on phpBB is much better than on IB. Here it is instant, but on IB the icons on the main page are only changed on hte next time I log on. Or maybe it's only a problem on the IB board that I frequent.

I really prefer the way it is actually, the posts keep the "new" icon until I view them, that is very handy.
