gui hardware dependency question

hy,
ive a pII 350, 320Mo DRAM, geforce2 mx and a 13Gb harddisk. i find the graphical interface damn slow (i run mandrake 9.1 under kde 3.1, since one week)
so im wondering what is the most important hardaware part to change in order to improve the ui speed.
processor? graphic card ?? i dont know

KDE runs fine with 256 MB or more, i guess the CPU is a little slow.
You can check this out with "top" on the commandline. Top will tell you how much RAM is used, and how much the CPU is used.
