Multiple button mouse

I have a Logitech MouseManWheel mouse with 4 buttons in total (the middle button beeing the scrollwheel and an additional thumb button).

When i use this thumb button in KDE has the same functions as the middle button. How can I assign different functions to the thumb buton? Any ideas? I would for instance like this button to act like "Back" in Konqueror.
Ofcorse I use windows, how else would I get fresh air into the room?

You have to define the button in X-Window first. However I have no idea how to do it without that button being part of the mouse wheel.
(The mouse wheel is euqivalent of two buttons in X-Window.)

Have a nice day!
