Logitech wireless keyboard problem

I'm running kde on a gentoo machine with a Logitech wireless mouse/keyboard combo. It has been working fine for a week or so, but all of the sudden when I start typing random "q's" start to appear. It happens in any place I type; console windows, mozilla text forms, etc. Even kdm. It's almost impossible to log in because it adds a q to my password.

It's probably the keyboard's fault. Try getting a it replaced if the warrantee is still effective. The only problem with my Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse set is that it keeps running out of batteries.

Just a quick concurrence. I use logitech wireless kb/mouse and though I've never had random letters appear, every time there is a kb or mouse quirk, it's them to blame. Maybe try resetting the keyboard?
I write a signature to let you know I care.

One more thing

I hesitated to say this, butq I have another box I'm running windows2k onq that I switch to with a kvm switchq, and I don't have this problem. The fact that it has been working fine on windows2k for >1year (and still does) leads me to believe it's not a hardware problem with the keyboard....but who knows.q

I apologize for the q's, but I'm too tired to combat themq :(

hahahha
is the 'q' in your user name also a fault?

---- Aside ----
perhaps you should reconfigure the keyboard, i dont know much about gentoo, if anything.
