power management

Hi
power management from the Control Center doesnt seem to work
my computer wont go on standby after the set amount of time

also using that klaptop thingy
i cant go on standby

any help would be nice

Do you have apm or apci configured? There should be one of these deamons runing on your system: apmd or apcid.

Ofcorse I use windows, how else would I get fresh air into the room?

Another alternative that XFree isn't configured to use dmps on the screen. Make sure you have the following line in your monitor section:

Option "dpms"

Without it, XFree will prevent the screen from going into the low-power states.
