Problem with sound...

Hi, im am by far very new to Linux.. have RedHat9 installed w/ KDE as the session.. Now my sound was fine and I could play mp3's with XMMS, but now i changed the theme and it has sounds for when I minimize windows, close them blah blah.. for everything i do it makes a sound of some sort and i think its messing the soundcard up and I cant use XMMS cus the soundcard is so called "busy" .. Question here is , how do I disable all those sound effects when I close windows, minimize, restore, etc.. Thanks

Re: Problem with sound

You can look for disable it at preference menu (now I on GNOME so I don't know exactly where you have to go).

But I'd like to know how can I to do works both sounds (xmms and sounds systems (GNOME works fine it).

Thank you

RE: Sound Problems..

Y'now, i actually figured it out.. pulled a major newbie mistake :) When the theme was applied all i simply had to do is uncheck the theme sounds that came with it, and now KDE doesnt have the prob with the sound card being busy from minimizing windows and stuff.. So ya didnt quite tell me what the problem was, but ya led my mind in the right direction.. :D
