Sound TIPS.

 A little tips for sound cards.

You must turn OFF the PNP OS ----->(disabled ) in your motherboard bios.  .
I have a fortissimo2, and a mandrake 9.0.My soudcard was detected; but no sound !!...
After one mouth, i found that it was in the bios....just a little option....

Maybe it will help someone.

the great thing about my sound card is its the little brother of the popular Sound Blaster Live! from creative.

its the SB PCI512, its cheaper and does the things i want it, also has the wide support with the EMU10K2 chip which it shares with the (earlier) Live! series.

so basically, my sound card is supported even at the kernel level since theres wonderful kernel drivers for it! :)
