That's on of my favorite Linux games. Although I wish there is some way to mangae your best times. It would be cool though if we could make more characters and tracks ourselves easily.

hhhm..this is a good Question. The Name of this Forum is "Games&Fun"...but it is also a KDE-Forum...hhm. I'll ask the Admin about that. In the meantime, I'll leave it "as is".

But what about the only other thread in this forum about Parsec started by zenok? He's a site admin.

Hmm it says Games&Fun and as long as one talk about games there should be no problem.
Or would it be a problem for anyone if someone asks here how to play UT under Linux? Well I don't think it would.

It could be a kde forums for linux games that can be played under kde ?

But if we stick to the small games that come with kde like SameGame and KBattleship we won't talk for long.

Sorry for the lack of updates..^^"
So, I just PN' ed with the Admin, we are "allowed" to talk about other games as well.
I see the point that we won't talk for long if we just "allow" KDE-Games.
But for now, I had a good Idea, and let's see what you think about it..

Sounds good to me. Just KDE Games would be a little boring. But there are many good Linux Games to talk about.

The sunsprite's comercial version of TuxRacer has more characters, tracks, game types, multiplayer (including support to lan).
There is also a demo, search more info in tuxgames.com .

It's really cool,

Actually, Lexville and I being Lindows insiders have access to the commercial version for free (because we paid for the insiders program). There are four characters, and many tracks.

Yea, too bad we don't get that stuff for the free version, but hey, you get what you pay for. But what I mean is that it would be cool if we could make our own characters and tracks.

That would be cool. Make your own player, and tracks.

TuxRacer

Yea. Most games these days have programs to easily make new characters and maps. I guess if we asked the makers of TuxRacer to make a program like that, TuxRacer would be even more popular. Maybe even other features like Internet multiplayer...people can form onlinel racing teams...and think of other endless possibilities... :D

I'm not a gamer, but I must admit Tuxracer is fun. I've spent as much as 45 minutes playing it and that is a looong time for me to spend with a game.

You don't play enough games, Germ. It's really hard to get all thoses fishies in a track.

I’ve bought the Full TuxRacer, it’s a great game, I have also asked if they where planning to create a online option, and they told me that all though that is in the plans it is not going to happen so soon. L Never mind I am sure when it does come out it the game will be even greater that it already is.
