Games run slow

I just installed rh 9 with kde 3.1-11, on my laptop. When I run any games, they open up very small in the center of the screen and run extremely slow. The desktop display is at a very high resolution, so I don't know why its opening up in a small box in the center of the screen or why its running so slow.

Are you trying to run 3D games? Has your Laptop got a 3D graphics card? If your laptop has a 3D graphics card have you enabled the 3D?
The reason I am asking is because it sounds like your are running 3D games and either you have not configured 3D on your laptop or it does not support it.
