UT2003 Demo freezes under linux

I am running Mandrake Linux 9.0 with KDE 3.1. I just upgraded from KDE 3.0
and UT2003 ran fine. With the upgrade to 3.1 UT2003 will freeze periodically
(I'm assuming this is my problem). I have an nVidia GeForce 4 TI4200 and I
just upgraded to the latest video driver (NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4349.run)
with no success. My motherboard is the Gigabyte GA-7VAX. The demo version of
UT2003 is ut2003demo-lnx-2206.sh.bin. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, I had the same problem once I upgraded to KDE3.1.1, and the only thing that worked for me was removing UT and then re-install it. Also have you tried to update UT using the loki_update? Good luck.

Thank you for the advice. When I tried to uninstall ut2003, I get this message:
ut2003_demo/uninstall: line 24: 11534 Segmentation fault "$UNINSTALL" "/usr/local/games/ut2003_demo/.manifest/ut2003_demo.xml" "$1"

Any ideas?

Hi, To uninstall in this case is very easy, delete the:
--> /usr/local/games/ut2003_demo directory
--> ~.ut2003 directory
Now just re-install it.

Good luke.

I uninstalled and then reinstalled ut2003 and I even ran the loki_update like you suggested and still nothing. Thanks for your help.
