how to change look of menus in KDE?

Hi,

i want to do the following thing(s):

- disable the "blue hover" that marks every menu entry when you move through a menu with the mouse

- disable the icons next to the menu item text in KDE menus

Why?

I want to make KDE feel more "real time". Especially the blue menu item hover slows down things incredibly and is just uncomfortable to me.

Not sure what "blue hover" is. :(

To disable icons from KDE menus, rightclick on menu, check: Text position --> Text only

I think he means how an option is highlighted when you go over it.
"Chopsticks require a person to use 64 muscles and 30 articulate movements simultaneously, which also acts in developing brain potential."

Oh.. fine. To disable that for buttons, open kcontrol-->Style-->Miscellaneous. Uncheck "Highlight buttons under mouse". I dont know how to do that for menu items :( Anybody who knows?

PS: I can suggest a work around, though it may not help... kcontrol-->colors. Now change the color scheme. Make selected text the same as standard background.
