Kmix opens the Mixer Window the first KDE starts

If I enable automatic login, then the first time KDE starts, kmix opens the Mixer Window, instead of just showing the applet. (I also have "Restore Session" enabled.) If I log out and log in again, everything is ok. Not that it is a big deal, but it is annoying :(...
I noticed that that's what happens if you try to run it twice. I tried to figure out how it starts when I log in - KDE runs it as "kdeinit kmix -session (some huge number)".
I replaced /usr/bin/kmix with a script that saves the output of "ps" to a file... Kmix still started twice, and the script did not run.
Any ideas?
