Wallpaper Probs

I recently installed vectorlinux and since then KDE,
I first had problems with my GFX card which I was
helped with on the veclinux forums. Now I have some
other problems, KDE wont show jpeg wallpapers
I'm lost as to how to fix it, also it doesn't seem to display
most of the screensavers either, only the one with tux
flying around in a spaceship. Any ideas why?

Does KDE handle jpg-files correctly in other apps?

Yeah, Konquerer, img apps, they open fine in those,
KDE doesn't seem to recognize them, nothing shows
in the preview screen either, also cant understand
why screensavers dont work :(
