Menubar themeable??

I would like to enable the mac os type menu bar to the desktop if only I could theme it!! Has anyone themed the bar? Add elements to it and what not? I love how kde can configure just about everything but that Ugly nasty plain of menubar

KDE is generally not "themeable" (THANK GOD!!!!!!) unless you include system wide configuration options like "Window Decorations" and "Styles". In this way you can chage the look and feel of the system but the system as a whole retains consistancy.

So I think the answer to your question is no, you cannot theme the menu bar.

At the same time the menu bar seems to have lost some of its original functionality. Didn't it originally replace the window menu bars, thus following the organization of the currently selected window? What happened to that?

I will still do that, after you enable that "MacOS" type menubar it has a setting in that menubar to enable desktop menu's or whatnot, I like gnomes menubar more than kde's. But thanks for reply
