There exist a whereis command in Unix to find your programs back. You can try if[code:1]whereis kopete[/code:1] returns the place where it is located.

I think you can find it back in /usr/local/bin. To execute it, run [code:1]/usr/local/bin/kopete[/code:1], or make a link.
