[Kopete] AIM contacts don't show up for my ICQ account

[Kopete] AIM contacts don't show up for my ICQ account

As you probably know, AIM/ICQ are integrated so that ICQ users can add AIM accounts to their contact list and vice-versa. However, this doesn't seem to work on Kopete; my AIM contacts don't show up on my icq contact list and my ICQ contacts don't show up on my AIM contact list. I don't know much about the technical details, but I suspect that this may be fixable by simply telling the server that the client supports AIM/ICQ integration. This feature is present in Licq and Gaim, and the official AIM/ICQ clients (of course). Ironically it doesn't work in Trillian :)

Anyway, if this feature could be added to Kopete that'd be really super, since I have lots of AIM users on my icq contact list and it'd be a major headache to get them to use my AIM acct (I really only have that acct for testing).

i haven't done this yet, mostly because i don't see the particular use for this feature, mostly due to the nature of kopete. i'll probably do it later though, after i've got more features integrated

Well this one feature keeps me from switching to kopete.
I have only an ICQ account, but half of my buddys are on AIM. As clients like GAIM allow me to see em, i dont have a reason to create a new AIM-account only for this feature and so i still stick with gaim.

Would be very cool if this feature would make it into kopete :)
