[Kopete] History Plugin not logging history

Hey, hopefully this hasn't already been answered, but I couldn't find it anywhere else in the forum...

I just installed suse 9.2 which includes kopete 0.9.0 using KDE 3.3.0. The history plugin was enabled by default (although I disabled then reenabled it anyway) but my history isn't being logged. The manual suggests that there should be a view history option of some sort in the context menu (right click on contact) but my context menu says nothing about history, greyed out or otherwised. Also, I read that the history should be logged to ~/.kde/share/apps/kopete/logs/ but this directory contains no logs. (It does contain a folder ICQProtocol which contains a folder named after one of my icq contacts, but that folder is empty) Any suggestions?

Also, any ideas when suse will offer the update to KDE 3.3.1? Or do I need to wait until Suse's next release? How difficult is KDE to upgrade for a newb? Thanks so much for your help!
