KOPETE: feature request right click -> pick friend ->

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place, but I really wish kopete would act like kmail, and allow you to right click on the system tray, pick an online contact and open up an IM to that contact.

At the moment, I have to click on the icon, click on the friend etc.

Just a thought.

If you wanted to discuss something about new kopete features this might be the right place. A feature request should IMHO better go to http://bugs.kde.org/ .

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I will leave it here for the time being as I don't want to encourage new features as being treated as bugs ;)

(Don't ask, it is my hobby horse as a professional software engineer and customers who think unspecified requirements are bugs)

I think you got me wrong. There's a special "wishlist" category at bugs.kde.org. So a wish is different from a bug, but the bugzilla system at bugs.kde.org helps organise things.

So if you can clearly describe your wish without wanting or needing further input and discussion with other users then your wish should definitely be posted at bugs.kde.org, not here. Many KDE developers don't read this forum...
