kopete - locks machine when leaving kde

hello all,

since yesterday, i have a problem with kopete and kde 3.3.0.

yersterday, my machine locks while starting kmldonkey. since then the computer freezes completely when i leaves kde while kopete is running (with or without kwallet).

i fiddled around with storing session / not storing session and beginning with an empty session. i tried to sets up kopete from scratch (deleting ~.kde/share/config/kopeterc and ~.kde/share/apps/kopete/*, and then starting all the setup-cycle from the beginning). nothing helps.

i anyway have a problem with the kicker. the systray is there after starting kde, but doesn't display the started progs and the applet witch displays windows and the one witch displays desktops (sorry, don't know the english names for them) actualize their display only if i restart them after logging in (same for the systray). i don't know. perhaps the problem arise from the kicker, witch is messed up.

i'm desperate, because i have no more idea, where to look for a solution. i would be happy about every help for solving this.

thanks a lot

Although you would lose all your settings, removing ~/.kde would probably solve all your problems. You could just rename the folder if you didnt want to delete it.
