Kopete Installation Problem

I downloaded kopete .. i had to compile it from source .. now after
./configure the last few lines (im showing u the ones that had an
error) were :

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.2) (library qt-mt)
not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!

What does this mean .. :?

Thanks ..

you need QT version 3.2 or above, as well as the development files.

Try your distributions website for packages.
