Videoconference application into kde

hi

i'm a kde user and i see that contains a great set of applications but i think.. when kde will have an audio/video-conference program?

i'm talking about a client and a server part
probably something separated (client and server) should be the best, but of course it's possible to have an only application wich should do both things

probably a great set of webcam drivers should be necessary but i think this kind of application would be a great extra package to kde

Take a look at http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=10395 and/or contact its author. I don't know how active this project is, though...

I don't think it's KDE's job to build the low-level functionality. There's already a lib that does that (openh232). I guess that libs for other (more modern) standards are needed though...

That would be unfortunate...
How do you know? Have you spoken with the author?

But I see an import into the subversion repository (probably a migration from a CVS repository) done by the author only five weeks ago:
