[Kopete] connecting to a particular jabber server

I am a new user of Kopete and Suse and want to instant message to a jabber server at xyz.com
I used to use Exodus (MSWindows) with settings:
Login: xyz.com on port 5222
Connection type: Normal (not http)
Socks: none
Server: xyz.com
Resource: Home
How do I configure Kopete / set up account to do this?
Thanks for any help

Well it's kind of very easy. You really should open Kopete before asking this.

But since you are reading this just choose "Settings->Accounts->New->Next->Jabber->Next".
Fill your settings in the two existent tabs "Basic Setup" and "Connection".

I had mistakenly thought that the entry for Account Information in the Basic Setup had to be in the format <user>@jabber.org as I was informed in an error popup box.
Thanks for the encouragement! I eventually thought that the error box should have communicated the correct format as perhaps <user>@<jabberserverdomainname> After putting in the desired domain name it worked fine.
