I have no clue how to integate gmail into KDE, but maybe with some Python skills you could port the gmail gdesklet to a SuperKaramba theme :

thanks, it is interesting to be alerted when you have new mail, but I'd like to be able to see the web interface directly.

I can browse it with firefox, google says it works with safari khtml engine, so why not with konqueror?

Could be that server or embedded javascript check explicitly for Safari instead of KHTML.

Is JavaScript enabled in Konqueror and does changing browser ID help?

If not it could be some changes made to Safari's KHTML code which is not yet included in KDE's version.

well javascript is enabled andchanging the id who n't help:
if I try IE it asks for active script...

if I try safari or mozilla it is older unsupported versions.

Maybe it is possibles to change the browser identities list but I could not manage to do it.
