konqueror: problem with java-applets

Hi everyone.

The java-applets work fine, the problem is that they all are openend in their own new window, can anyone imagine a reason why konqueror is doing this?

thx in advance,
Schmolch

Can you give an example URL?

I have seen several Java Tickerapplets working fine embedded in the site.

Unfortunately there is no example necessary because really ALL applets open in new windows, doesnt matter if its just a newsticker, button or a bigger program.

I found this problem mentioned only a few times in the newsgroups but none with a solution.

Ok, lets try it the other way around:
http://stockapplets.com/ledticker/ticker-live.php

This page has an embedded ticker applet.
Works fine for me on KDE3.1, Java Blackdown 1.3.1

like i said, it opens all applets in a new window, including your example.

kde 3.22, tried with blackdown, sun-jdk and sun-j2sdk

Interesting, maybe a KDE3.2.2 problem

Can you check bugs.kde.org if there is a problem report for this kind of behaviour?

Works fine with KDE 3.2.2 here though.
