Kopete Autoreply when Away?

Is there any way for Kopete to automatically reply with a message when I set my status to Away? I've set the Predefined Message text for my away message, but if someone starts a chat while I'm away, they don't get any automatic response.

Thanks,
Charlie

Are you selecting an away message when you go away? Also, have you configured kopete to send the auto reply?

Yep, I'm selecting the away message (via File -> Status -> Set Away Globally -> Away, after I added a custom message called "Away").

What exactly are you referring to by configuring it to send the autoreply? I have the "Notify all open chats when I go away" box checked, but I don't see anything else that sounds close to autoreply in the settings.

Thanks for your help,
Charlie

Afaik, you have to set your away settings from the kopete toolbar (the smiley face) to Set Away Globally. you wont get an auto message if you set your protocol to away.

Nb: you will be set to away for your protocol if you enable global away settings.

Yes, I am using Set Away Globally. (I've tried both through the toolbar and the File menu, but I assume they both do the same thing.) I do show up as having status Away in other people's buddy lists, even with the right status message in the list (eg. in iChat), but if someone tries to start a chat anyway, no auto-response is printed in their chat window. Other AIM clients will print the auto-response as if I'd typed it in the chat window. (Note that I'm using an AIM screename; I don't know if that matters.)

Anyway, thanks for your comments so far. It sounds like other people have this working (?), so maybe there's just something wrong with my configuration? Can someone confirm that Kopete will auto-respond to AIM chat requests if you go into an away status?

Everything should work, try unchecking the option to notify all open chats when I go away and see if that fixes it.

I'm having the same problem. There is no autoreply being sent and I can't figure out why...
