opening files with LISA

the LISA daemon works great, however when I browse a computer and open, say, a mp3 file, this file is first copied on my local hard disk and then played, while if I mount the smb resource in some directory, than I can play the file directly without copy it first.
Is there a way to play such a file directly from the LISA browser interface?

That's a shortcoming of the smb IO slave or the player does not support the slave good enough.

LISA is only for resource discovery.
