i went from .8.0 to 7.3 by mistake and i cant get back

yeah yeah.. im stupid, im sure.. but now i know what the problem is, at least.. i i foolishly let the suse auto update replace my new version of kopete with the older 7.3 version.. and ive tried recompiling the newer one. it doesnt seem to be working.. anyone got any ideas?

Also when mentioning any problem please be more specific like what distro are u using, what is the kde version, what exactly is the problem -- like some log of what error u are getting.

thanks. i'll try that. and thanks for the advice. im new to all this stuff. and dont know all the ins and outs just yet

I did the same thing. My solution was to just reinstall the kdenetwork package. I'm sure there was a better way to fix it. But that worked for me
