Kopete and knotify flashing taskbar

According to the faq on the kopete site, you can flash the taskbar on an incoming message due it kopete's use of knotify. All i can find in the "More Options" under its notification menu is to play a sound, pop up a window (passively), log it, run a program, or print a message to stderr.

How do you flash the taskbar? Can you run a knotify command to do it with the "Execute a Program"? Its in the faq, what gives?

Hi,

Using Kopete 0.7.3 on KDE 3.1.5

The good news is

Settings -> Configure-Kopete -> Behaviour -> General -> Notifications -> check "Flash system tray on new message"

The bad news is, this doesnt work for me.... Can anybody suggest what I might be doing wrong? Does this feature work for anybody else?

Symbol for new messages

I don't know Knotify, but my current version of Kopete (0.8) shows a new symbol in the taskbar, if a new message arrives. My old Kopete (0.7.4?) did the same - no new symbol but the normal kopete-sysmbol started to spin.

I activated under "behaviour" "show symbol in taskbar" and "flash for new messages".
