Kopete's mysterious features

Having had KDE 3.2_beta2 running for a while, I thouhgt I ought to give Kopete another try to see if I should move on from PSI. There are two features that, at the moment, I can't for the life of me work out. Perhaps somebody knows the answers to these questions:

* How does the translation plugin work?

* What is the point of the kaddressbook integration? I've linked a few contacts to address book entries... what now?

*bump*
also, what's the blue kopete icon in the toolbar in the chat window? you can't click it, and there's no tooltip for it.

it spins around when you are sending a message - like the konqueror spinner. But, it wont spin much if you have a high speed connection :P.

Its just decoration, and lets you know if a message is still trying to be sent.
