CVS Doesn't Work

I'm on Slack 9.1, and cvs does not run right, the MSN butterfly has unusual flicker during startup, the only reason why i'm going to cvs
is because Yahoo changed their protocol and broke the earlier
version.

Maybe kopete is built for KDE 3.2, is that the problem???

Out of any software, kopete is the one i'm rebuilding all the time,
because of problems with MSN, or Yahoo, etc.

man it gets tiring!!!

now, if we could only convince everyone on the planet to switch
to Jabber, we'd be fine, but until then we are stuck with compatability
issues with Yahoo and MSN.

there are lots of Jabber clients on the major OS's, too bad more
people can't switch to that....
