Kopete annoyances.

I called these annoyaces because they are fairly minor and dont really destroy the otherwise great opinion I have of kopete. The first is renameing of contacts, I can't seem to do it. After changing the name when I click off the contact it returns to the origional name, do I have to finalize/save the change somehow? Also is there a way to send a message to someone not in my contact list?
